Six Sigma for Manufacturer's Websites: Process Performance
Six Sigma is a disciplined, data driven approach and methodology for eliminating defects (driving towards six standard deviations between the mean and the nearest specification limit) in any process -- from manufacturing to transactional and from product to service.
Process Performance:
The process performance tools are strong and effective manufacturer's website tools to provide the mechanism needed to implement highly efficient, error minimizing service delivery processes. Many operations in manufacturing organizations, such as websites efficiency are overloaded with "error" handling. These operations attempt to aid customers that have received low service quality in other parts of the process. The errors not only taint the customer experience, their recovery now uses valuable resources that could be used for profit generating activity. Process performance enhancing techniques are an integral part of Key-Position's success and are derived from proven industrial techniques such as Lean Business, Six Sigma and Operations Management.
Until now, these Six Sigma principles and methodologies have not been applied to manufacturer's websites. According to Corey Wenger, President of Key Position Website Marketing (www.key-position.com), "This Six Sigma methodology is a way to quantify the effectiveness of a manufacturer's website in lead generation and conversion to sales."
Key-Position Web Marketing develops Lean Manufacturing processes to evaluate the degree to which the manufacturer's website achieves the intended goal, while examining every avenue to drive increase targeted traffic to the site.
On average, Key-Position's clients experience sales increases of 200% + in qualified web-generated sales leads through this Lean Manufacturing process.
