Manufacturers Predict 50% Decrease in 2005 Sales Travel in Favor of Web Conferencing and Website Product Information Distribution According to Key-Position
The leading manufacturing marketing research firm, TR Cutler, Inc. (www.trcutlerinc.com) based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida conducted a national survey of 1198 privately held manufacturers last month to determine anticipated 2005 marketing expenditures. One of the statistically significant findings was that the manufacturing respondents expect to increase the website communication budget by 50% in 2005, while decreasing sales travel by the same amount. The rationale provided was overwhelmingly stated: the value of developing a sales channel via the internet allows for a much more rapid return-on-investment.
The respondents were senior management only from President, Owner, CEO, CFO, VP Operations, VP Marketing, Director of Purchasing, or General Manager.
According the Corey Wenger, President of Key Position Web Marketing (www.key-position.com), the only manufacturing search engine optimization (SEO) marketing firm, "The trend toward manufacturing website communication has been a strong trend over the past five years. Manufacturers who once had a national sales force are choosing to consolidate into website sales communication. It is much easier to measure the efficacy of web sales vs. travel expense."
Key Position Web Marketing, based in Indianapolis, IN, the only manufacturing search engine optimization (SEO) marketing firm, specializes in Industrial web-based sales lead generation through SEO and pay-per-click programs for industrial/manufacturing and engineering companies.
